Luang Prabang: Mekong Fishing with a Local Fisherman & Lunch

2.Mekong Fishing with a Local Fisherman & Lunch

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 20 reviews · 4.5 hours · from $69Top rated

Fish the Mekong with a local expert, grill your catch on a riverside beach, and return through Luang Prabang villages by tuk-tuk.

“The fishing experience was even better than we could have imagined. We learned two traditional Lao fishing techniques. Before that, we visited a whisky village and learned how Lao whisky is made — we even got to taste it! After that, we enjoyed a beautiful lunch on a small beach on the Mekong shore. The guide brought some delicious food that he and his wife had prepared, and we grilled the fish that we had caught. We then returned home safely, filled with great memories of a wonderful day. Thank you for crearing such wonderful experiences!”

3.Hiking Off the Beaten Track with Picnic Lunch

★★★★★★★★★★4.8 · 9 reviews · 8 hours · from $85

Hike from Luang Prabang through Hmong and Kamu villages, learn about local plants, enjoy valley views, and share a picnic lunch.

“Absolutely fantastic day. Our guide was amazing as was the local guide from the village. They both took great care of us, making sure we were well looked after throughout the day. One of the highlights was sharing lunch together on a tablecloth made from a banana leaf. The lunch selection was incredible and very delicious. The walk was difficult at times but very enjoyable if you are reasonably fit, we are in our mid fifties and walk a lot. Highly recommend this activity. You can’t go wrong.”
